    An herb used in traditional medicine for longevity and cognitive enhancement. It has been shown to improve memory function and reduce anxiety. Bacopa interacts with dopamine and serotonergic systems, but the main function concerns the promoting better neuron communication. It does this by increasing the growth of dendrites. Studies have shown positive improvement using bacopa on children with ADHD (8).

    An animo acid found in tea. Theanine reduces stress and promoting relaxation helping with impulse control. Lack of impulse control is symptom of ADHD. Other attention benefits associated with L-Theanine include brain protective effects, and improved attention. Studies confirm that L-Theanine enhances performance in visual attention task and reaction time response (9).

  • B-6 PYRIDOXINE HCL

    The main function of this B-6 is to act on amino acids . This function is mostly to remove or transfer nitrogen, sulfur, or carbon-containing molecules. B-6 is important for protein metabolism, growth, and the nervous, endocrine, and immune systems. There are more than one hundred vitamin B6-dependent enzymes that are mostly involved in amino acid metabolism: for oxygen transport via hemoglobin synthesis; in blood sugar regulation via conversion of stored carbohydrate to energy; in the development of the myelin sheath surrounding nerve cells; in the conversion of alpha- linoleic acid to the essential long-chain fatty acid DHA; and in the synthesis of neurotransmitters, phospholipids and sphingolipids, the vitamin niacin from tryptophan, and other vital metabolites. In addition to its role in enzyme reactions, B6 appears to moderate the action of some steroid hormones such as the glucocorticoid hormones, which in turn influence the metabolism of protein, carbohydrate and lipids. B6 also is a potent antioxidant with the ability to quench reactive oxidants in the body (10, 11, 12, 13).

  • B-12 CYANOCOBALAMIN

    B-12 is needed by the body for proper neuronal function. It exerts a neuroprotective effects through enhanced methylation, acceleration of nerve cell growth and its ability to promote healthy homocysteine levels (14).

  • ALOE VERA

    Aloe Vera has been known to greatly increase the bioavailability of all nutrients when taken in tandem. Aloe Vera also helps to raise pH levels in the body when used in ingestible forms.

  • VINPOCETINE

    Vinpocetine improves brain metabolism by increasing oxygen flow to the brain. It can improve overall cognitive function, especially memory, concentration, and mental energy. Vinpocetine, also, improves circulation, oxygenation of the blood, and energy utilization in the brain (and improves vision) (15, 16, 17, 18).

  • DMAE

    (2-dimethylaminoethanol) is used to treat a number of conditions affecting the brain and central nervous system. Although the mechanism of DMAE is not fully understood, it is thought to work by increasing production of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine and increase other brain functions (19, 20, 21).

  • N-ACETYL-TYROSINE

    N-Acetyl-Tyrosine helps alleviates neurological decline as catecholamines are typically decreased in states of dementia. Catecholamines act as anti-oxidants in the brain and are neuro-protective. L-tyrosine is taken to alleviate the decline in neurological performance associated with moderate to long-term mental exertion which can be through mental exertion such as studying or physical exercise (22, 23).
